The identity and decor for the 2017 Students' Union Awards Night is an elegant, formal design inspired by Le Petit Prince. The design uses strings of illustrated stars and a watercolor texture to reference the original book illustrations, with a formal feel more appropriate for the gala. The illustrations are built to work on a variety of scales, from table cards to banners. I used the moon as an element to reference the book illustrations, with a more hand-drawn feel. A metallic Pantone ink was used to balance the formal and illustrative elements. The stars were used as a more formal element, on a dark watercolor background to make the illustrations more refined.
